Become a member in Transport:
As a member, you should apply to transfer your membership to Transport as soon as possible, preferably before the end of the month so that your new membership takes effect on 1 February 2025. Here is a step-by-step instruction on how to proceed. If you have already applied to transfer your membership, you can disregard this part.
- Apply here for membership with Transport.
- To credit your membership time in Unionen, there should be no gap between memberships. Indicate entry and exit at the same month-end, preferably entry into Transport on 1 February and exit from Unionen on 31 January.
Unemployment fund: You should also apply for membership in Transport's unemployment fund (a-kassa). You can use a power of attorney when switching unemployment funds to avoid interruptions in your membership period. How to Request Withdrawal from Unionen:
If you register your withdrawal according to the points below during the month of January, your membership will end on the last day of January, and you will avoid paying double membership fees.

- Log in with BankID and follow these steps:
A. Select: "I work and am employed in Sweden."
B. Select: "I work in a private company, organization, or association."
C. Select: "I am a worker - e.g., industrial worker, construction worker, shop assistant," and then click "Review and Submit."
- On the next page, you will see your details and the resignation date, which is always the last day of the current month. On that page, check the three boxes and sign with BankID.
You will then receive a confirmation sent to you by email.
